The collaboration between UPJŠ and Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions in the development of electrochemical sensors has achieved success in the Digitalization of the Economy challenge.

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice has become the main researcher of the project Recovery and Resilience Plan in the call Support for Research Projects Focused on the Digitalization of the Economy at TRL Levels 1-3. The project, titled Multisensor Application-Controlled: Bridging Sensors and Digitalization (acronym S2DApp), focuses on fundamental research aimed at developing a multisensor, which, along with a software application, represents a groundbreaking method for self-diagnosis of patients. In this call, a total of 57 projects were supported, with the S2DApp project ranking 14th with a support amount of €995,004.19.

The project will be implemented and managed by the scientific team from the Department of Physical Chemistry at UPJŠ in Košice, which is responsible for the development and optimization of the multisensor as a fast, simple, and cost-effective method for disease diagnosis. The project partner is one of the most prominent IT companies – Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia (DTITSSK), represented primarily by researchers from the Innovlab startup center, whose main task is to ensure the development of a secure and user-friendly software application.
